Original “For Sale” Sign Design & Dimensions Alternate “For Sale” Sign Design & Dimensions
Approved “For Sale” Sign Designs and Dimensions
All homes listed for sale must display the Board approved “For Sale” sign. These are the only authorized “For Sale” Sign Designs and Dimensions in East Hampton as of August 1, 2008.

EAST HAMPTON “FOR SALE” SIGN POLICY
1. All “For Sale” signs must meet Board approved dimensions.
2. The signs must have the same color (black with gold lettering) and an EH logo (tree emblem)
3. No more than 2 riders can be attached
4. One flyer box is allowed. The flyer box cannot exceed 9” x 12”, and must be painted black to match the “For Sale” sign
5. Homeowners who violate the new sign policy will be assessed a $50 fee
1. Approved Time These guidelines are approved on a probationary status and can be rescinded by the Board without notice based on non-compliance to this policy. Floorplans
"Open House" Weekend Requirements
These are the approved directional signs for the designated Open House weekends.
a. Saturday and Sunday
b. Noon to 5:00 p.m. only
c. First and third weekend of each month (designated by the first and third Saturday of the Month)
2. Open House Sign for Front Entrance (two-sided)
a. Association will design and purchase one 24”x24” Open House Weekend sign (see attached)
b. Sign will be posted by the Association in the front of East Hampton Community on Friday evening prior to the event and removed Monday morning following the event
3. Directional Signs (two-sided)
a. Association will design and purchase eighteen 9”x24” directional signs (see attached)
b. Realtors or homeowners have two options
i. Check out the Association’s directional signs from The Continental Group
ii. Purchase the Association’s designed and approved signs for their own
c. A $20 fee will be assessed for each sign that has been checked out from The Continental Group and not returned by close of business Monday following the Open House Weekend
d. Posting of Directional and Open House Signs - May not be posted any earlier than 11:30 a.m. and must be taken down no later than 5:30 p.m. each day of the event
e. Directional signs may only be posted on street corners, NOT in median areas
f. Nothing may be attached to the directional signs, e.g. balloons, realtor information
g. Agents having Open Houses on the same street are responsible for coordinating with each other regarding the placement of directional signs to avoid having multiple signs on the same corner providing direction to the same street location
4. Approved Signs on Homeowner’s Property
a. Association approved “For Sale” signs
b. Open House sign no larger than 30”x30”
c. Authorized Flyer Boxes [must be Black and no larger than 9”x12”]
d. NO other signs, balloons, flyers or promotional items are authorized on East Hampton common areas or on property to where the open house is being held
5. Post Event Notification
a. Post standard notification of the Open House Weekend events on East Hampton website Home page (one-time posting)
b. Association will post notification on the Main Message Board, Wednesday prior to weekend event
c. Association will remove message from message board on the Monday following the event
6. Other Guidelines
a. Realtors and/or homeowners expecting to have an Open House on the designated weekend, must notify The Continental Group no later than noon Monday preceding the designated weekend event, to allow the Association sufficient time to post appropriate notifications
