East Hampton Committees
The ARC (Architectural Review Committee) meets the first Thursday of Each Month at 7:00 p.m. at the East Hampton Clubhouse. Meeting reminders will be posted on the EH signboard.
Their primary responsibility is to review all architectural changes submitted by the home owner for approval. This includes exterior improvements, additions, alterations, restoration and repairs. Specifically, they review such items as color, materials, location, appearance, height, kind, nature, and shape. They are to meet harmony of external design and location in relation to surrounding residences, as well.
Volunteers are needed. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please attend the next meeting or contact the Committee Chairperson at: ARC@east-hampton.org. If you are planning any changes to your home or property, please contact The Continental Group for the necessary forms.
The Communications Committee – This committee is for those who enjoy writing or researching; meeting or communicating by email every other month. The primary purpose is the preparation of the EH newsletter, the operation of the East Hampton Website, and the Email distribution of Board approved information.
If you have any ideas for articles, please email them to newsletter@east-hampton.org. If you have any questions or comments for the website, please email them to website@east-hampton.org.
The Social Committee meets periodically prior to events. The meetings are fun-filled, usually in homes, with lot of laughter and great ideas suggested. Individuals, who like to plan parties, decorate, meet people, or go shopping, will love to volunteer for this committee. Those who can do art work or writing can help with flyers. Others with leadership skills can help plan, organize and oversee the activities. There are plenty of places to serve on this committee.
For those who are interested in volunteering for this committee, or if you would like to attend the next Social Committee meeting, please contact Committee Chairperson at Social@east-hampton.org. Volunteers are greatly needed at the events to help with activities.
CIC (Capital Improvement Committee) usually meets quarterly at the clubhouse. The dates will be posted on the EH signboard. Their primary purpose is to recommend capital improvement projects to the Board that would enhance the community. They meet with vendors and research data to find the best possible selection of companies to do the Property improvements. If you are interested in providing ideas for future capital improvement projects, or would like to volunteer in this committee, please contact Committee Chairperson at CIC@east-hampton.org.
The RCC (Rules & Compliance Committee) Meets periodically; dates and times are not published.
This is a committee that is selected by the Board of Directors. They are autonomous, in that they are an independent body that reviews all of the facts from both sides (the non-compliant homeowner and the Board). Their purpose is to hold hearings with the homeowner to review the reason for the violations and the non-compliance. They make the final decisions regarding fines if violations are not corrected, and possible legal action.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Committee Liaison at RCC@east-hampton.org.
